MAR Title: The challenge to perfection

Narration:
It was a very fine day when I got home to my province, when my long lost cousin came for assistance regarding his colostomy which he got after a stab wound eight months ago. During our conversation He expressed that he was so proud that I chose Ospital ng Maynila as my training grounds. He was amazed on the quality of service been given by the hospital to its clients and was so confident and reliant to be operated on. After such mellifluous words, we discussed the procedure that will be done to him.
The operation was a grueling experience. Anesthesiologist had a hard time on intubation because of much anteriorly located glottis and unintentionally avulsed patient’s tooth. After which dissection posted another challenge and we inadvertently injured the bowel.

As a Physician, you sell yourself to your patients as a businessman, would promote his product to his consumers. You should put your heart and mind into whatever you are going to do to make sure that quality is evident in each completed task. It is not enough to simply get through a procedure. You ought to make sure that you invest time and effort, and just enough care to attain perfection. In this way, you save yourself from little mistakes that could cost you your patients trust.
